What is
SSAMCAST?
SSAMCAST’s
mission is to provide a place for users to share their knowledge and interact
with others who value learning. Through this exchange of lessons, we hope
to give everyone an opportunity to both learn and teach. SSAMCAST is a
website that connects people together. Our goal is to create a place
where people can embrace their gifts and skills by teaching and learning in a
way that interests them. There are a million ways to learn and we hope
that by using SSAMCAST, every user will find a teaching method that best suits
their needs.
What can I
do?
LEARN
SSAMCAST
will officially launch in June and all our courses will be open to the public!
High school students will be able to study from our SAT lectures about
SAT 1 Math, Reading, and Writing. We also have some tips from current
college students about how to get into the school of your choice.
SSAMCAST users will have a wide variety of new and original video content
related to topics both educational and recreational. You can learn about
anything from biology to dancing- we believe that everyone should have the
opportunity to learn.
TEACH
Once the
site is open, you are welcome to create and manage your own courses for free.
You get to decide what you want to teach. We
encourage you to make a course about a subject you feel passionate
about and share your knowledge with the world. SSAMCAST is powered
by Amazon Web Services, the best in cloud computing services, so your videos
and profile information can be accessed wherever you have an Internet
connection.
SHARE
After taking
a course, share it with your friends on SSAMCAST! With our “recommend’
feature, you can tell others about your favorite classes and invite them to
learn alongside you. Rate courses and watch your favorites as many times
as you want! Share in a collective learning experience by asking
questions with our Ask SSAMCAST feature. This allows you to pose a
problem and work with someone to find a solution.
Are you
excited for SSAMCAST? Leave a comment below about what you're looking
forward to when we launch our website. Are you going to be a teacher, a
student, or both?
